ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END……
A message from Simon Goodall:
‘I am sad to announce that my last show with The Bourne Again Shadows will be at Banbury, Saturday 3rd August. I have been on the road as a pro musician for about thirty years. Much as I love what I do, there comes a point where one feels the need to re-focus and re-energise, and I am going to take a break from touring for the whole of 2025.
I have worked with The Bourne Again Shadows for the last eleven years. They are simply the best at what they do. We have had some great times playing to wonderful audiences at some delightful theatres across the country. We are especially grateful to our regular supporters, some of whom have travelled to every show we have put on. You have contributed so much to the very happy memories we will treasure for years to come.
We are looking forward to a great show in Banbury, and who knows what lies ahead? Given that Cliff and The Shadows have had so many reunions themselves(!), may be we will get together again one day for a ‘one night only reunion’.’
A message from Graham, Brian, Chris, Eric and Cliff – The Bourne Again Shadows:
‘Like Simon, we are sad that our eleven years of touring as the leading Cliff and The Shadows tribute act are drawing to a close. We did not even consider looking for someone to take Simon’s place: when we have worked with the best, we just did not think we could settle for less.’
The Bourne Again Shadows themselves will continue to present their Shadows instrumental shows, but probably limit performances to around half a dozen times a year, focusing on venues close to their Thames Valley base – plus the odd favourite theatre elsewhere. Confirmed dates for instrumental shows so far are:
